Mun Lian Industries Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as 'ML') was incorporated in 24th MAY 1996. Mr Choi Tek Heng, the Managing Director of the company has more than forty years nurtured the business to its present position. ML in involved in the manufacturing of furniture.

Nature of Business

LF secures its business via distribution of catalogues to furniture shops and direct contact between its salesmen and furniture shops on a wholesale basic. LF also sells its cabinets and furniture directly to end-users. The company is actively promoting its products though advertisements in local furniture magazines.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

1. Cut plywood into required sizes.
2. Cut timber into required sizes for frames.
3. Place a piece of plywood on each side of timber frame.Brush plywood and timber frames with gum. Use Hydraulic machine to stick both parts together was necessary.
4. Once the parts are firmly in place, the unwanted edges are cut out.
5. Drill holes for knockdown fitting.
6. Send to furnishing department for furnishing.
7. Repair holes wherever necessary with filler ( putty ).
8. Use belt-sanding machine to smoothen surface.
9. Paint surface with filler followed by undercoat. When undercoat has dried, undercoat has dried, use belt-sanding machine to smoothen surface again. Hand labour will be used for sanding edges.
10. Spray stain ( colour ) and topcoat lacquer.
11. Send for packing and delivery.
